Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest interaction is seamless, memorable, and aligned with the luxury standards of Rosewood Hotel Group. Your duties will include:

• Guest Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience. Ensure tables are set to the highest standards and maintain a welcoming ambiance in the restaurant or dining area.
• Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them efficiently to the kitchen, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to dietary restrictions and special requests. Verify orders before presenting them to guests to guarantee satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, bartenders, and other staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive dining experience. Communicate effectively with the team to address any issues promptly and maintain service efficiency.
• Upselling and Revenue Contribution: Promote menu items, beverages, and special offers in a consultative manner to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue. Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions.
• Operational Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards. Follow established protocols for cash handling, billing, and POS system operations.
• Guest Feedback Management: Address guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary. Strive to resolve concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience and maintain the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end hospitality environment. Previous experience in a multicultural setting is highly desirable.
• Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to engage guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. A customer-centric approach and a passion for service excellence are essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a strong advantage. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse guests is critical.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays or equipment, and maintain a high level of energy during peak service times. Comfort with a fast-paced, dynamic work environment is necessary.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to presentation, order accuracy, and service standards. The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a high-pressure setting.
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as required by the business.
