Beverage Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Beverage Manager to join the team at Rosewood Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all beverage operations, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and service standards are consistently delivered to our distinguished guests. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for beverages, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a high-performing team in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Beverage Program Development: Design, implement, and continuously refine beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic options, to align with the hotel’s luxury brand and guest preferences.
• Inventory and Cost Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of all beverage supplies while maintaining strict control over inventory levels, minimizing waste, and optimizing cost efficiency.
• Team Leadership and Training: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of bartenders, sommeliers, and beverage staff, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and guest-centric service.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to the highest standards of beverage preparation, presentation, and service, with a focus on consistency and innovation.
• Supplier and Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors to secure premium products, negotiate favorable terms, and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create memorable guest experiences, including themed events, wine pairings, and bespoke beverage offerings tailored to individual preferences.
• Compliance and Safety: Uphold all health, safety, and licensing regulations, ensuring full compliance with local and international standards.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in beverage management, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end establishment.
• Proven expertise in beverage procurement, inventory control, and cost management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and beverage trends, along with certifications such as WSET or equivalent.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in beverage management software and POS systems.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the resort.
