Key Responsibilities

The Application Engineering Manager will be responsible for a broad spectrum of strategic and operational duties, including:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of application engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive employee engagement and professional growth through targeted coaching and performance management.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects, from initial concept through to deployment. Oversee the design, development, and testing of application solutions to meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute complex engineering projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Utilize project management methodologies to mitigate risks and deliver measurable results.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between technical teams, senior management, and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure alignment on project objectives, deliverables, and business goals.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance engineering processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with local and international regulations, safety protocols, and Honeywell’s corporate standards. Champion a safety-first culture and proactively address potential hazards.
• Business Development: Support business growth initiatives by contributing to proposals, bids, and strategic planning. Leverage technical expertise to identify new opportunities and enhance Honeywell’s competitive advantage in the Saudi market.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree or advanced certification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in application engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Prior experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in application development, system integration, and software engineering principles. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, such as CAD, PLC programming, or SCADA systems, is advantageous.
• Leadership Competencies: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage conflicts, and inspire high performance. Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills are essential.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international engineering standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
