Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Supervisor to join the esteemed team at Four Seasons Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage the engineering operations to ensure the highest standards of facility maintenance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations. Ensure all systems—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical—are functioning optimally to meet the operational demands of the facility.
• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage the engineering department’s budget, including forecasting, cost control, and procurement of materials and equipment. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to maximize operational effectiveness.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international safety regulations, as well as company standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a secure working environment for all staff and guests.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with other departments to address guest concerns related to engineering issues promptly and effectively. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance guest comfort, convenience, and satisfaction through innovative engineering solutions.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges. Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment and systems are serviced regularly. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering services. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and maintain strong professional relationships.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent professional qualification. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in engineering supervision, preferably within the hospitality, facilities management, or industrial sectors. Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex engineering projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems. Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainable practices is advantageous.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure. Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.
