Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our hospital’s procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless availability of critical medical and non-medical supplies while driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, you will play a key role in shaping supply chain strategies that enhance service quality, reduce waste, and support the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiations, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality medical and non-medical supplies. Implement robust inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize shortages, and prevent excess inventory, thereby reducing operational costs.
• Warehousing & Distribution: Lead warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of supplies across the hospital. Develop and enforce standardized procedures for receiving, storing, and dispatching materials while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Supplier & Vendor Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, ensure product quality, and guarantee on-time deliveries. Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess supplier reliability and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, inventory turnover, and procurement costs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement. Implement data-driven strategies to streamline supply chain operations and enhance overall efficiency.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to hospital procurement policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory non-compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinical departments, finance, and senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support budgetary planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or inventory control. Prior experience within a healthcare or hospital setting is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insight into the unique demands of medical supply chains.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools. Strong analytical abilities to interpret KPIs, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, negotiate with vendors, and communicate complex supply chain concepts to stakeholders at all levels. A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations, procurement policies, and quality standards such as FDA, ISO, or GMP. Ability to navigate compliance requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
