Job Overview

SETE Energy Saudia For Industrial Projects Ltd., a leading entity in the industrial sector based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational excellence, safety, and efficiency of our industrial facilities. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, upgrades, and compliance of all facility-related systems, contributing to the seamless execution of our projects and the sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of industrial facilities, ensuring all systems—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety—are functioning optimally. Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local, national, and international safety regulations, as well as environmental standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Maintain comprehensive records of safety protocols and facility inspections.
• Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor facility-related projects, such as expansions, renovations, or upgrades. Evaluate project requirements, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
• Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs through the implementation of sustainable practices and technologies. Monitor energy consumption and recommend strategies to optimize resource utilization.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to procure necessary materials, equipment, and services. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing the annual facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety. Track expenditures, analyze variances, and propose corrective measures as needed.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide facility maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Conduct training sessions to enhance technical skills and safety awareness among team members.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or OSHA) are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) and industry best practices for maintenance and safety.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and facility management systems (e.g., CMMS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) or environmental management are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
