Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities that span the entire cloud lifecycle. Your primary duties will include:
- Cloud Architecture Design: Develop end-to-end cloud architectures for enterprise workloads and cloud-native applications, leveraging expertise across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Migration and Modernization Leadership: Lead enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives using industry-recognized frameworks and best practices. Define and execute migration strategies, including rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild, and replace approaches, tailored to meet unique business and technical requirements.
- Cloud Foundations and Governance: Establish and implement cloud landing zones that adhere to governance, security, compliance, and operational standards. Ensure these foundations support scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments while enabling seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational readiness by implementing robust monitoring, logging, observability, disaster recovery, and reliability best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance cloud infrastructure capabilities and performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement IaC using tools such as Terraform, enabling automated, repeatable, and scalable cloud deployments. Support the adoption of DevOps and platform engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- DevOps and Platform Engineering: Champion DevOps, DevSecOps, containerization, and automation best practices across projects. Contribute to the development of reusable cloud architecture patterns, standards, and deployment frameworks that accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market.
- Strategic Cloud Planning: Develop and refine cloud architecture strategies that align with organizational objectives and technology roadmaps. Contribute to cloud adoption roadmaps and modernization plans, ensuring they reflect current and future business needs.
- Technical Leadership and Collaboration: Provide expert technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout cloud migration and transformation projects. Work closely with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated, high-impact cloud solutions.
- Pre-Sales and Customer Engagement: Support pre-sales activities by conducting architecture workshops, developing comprehensive solution designs, and contributing to technical proposals. Engage with customers and cloud service providers to align technical solutions with evolving business requirements.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure cloud architectures comply with organizational governance, security, and regulatory requirements. Incorporate identity and access management (IAM), security controls, and resilience into solution designs to mitigate risks and enhance protection.
