Life Guard

Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Life Guard to ensure the safety and well-being of guests at our premier recreation facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a keen eye for detail, strong physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring swimming areas, responding to emergencies, and promoting safety protocols while delivering exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety and Emergency Response: Utilize appropriate rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress. Continuously scan the swimming area for hazardous conditions, unusual activities, or individuals struggling in the water. Provide immediate assistance to injured guests and coordinate with emergency medical services as needed.
• Guest Engagement and Service: Promote a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere by adhering to facility rules and regulations. Greet guests professionally, address their needs, and ensure a positive experience. Assist individuals with disabilities and maintain a clean, orderly pool deck by obtaining, folding, and stacking towels, as well as washing and mopping surfaces.
• Facility Maintenance and Safety Compliance: Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management. Complete mandatory safety training and certifications, including CPR and First Aid. Follow company policies and procedures to uphold high standards of quality and confidentiality.
• Physical Demands: Perform duties that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Move at a pace necessary to respond to emergencies, including running when required. Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance. Demonstrate fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to handle equipment and perform tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees.
• Team Collaboration and Professionalism: Support colleagues with dignity and respect, fostering a cohesive work environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including uniform standards, and express genuine appreciation to guests.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Additional certifications or training may be required by local or state agencies.
• Experience: No prior work experience is required, though a background in lifeguarding, fitness, or customer service is beneficial.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, stand for long durations, and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfort with moving over slippery or uneven surfaces and operating equipment as needed.
