Project Engineer - TL

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer - TL to oversee the end-to-end execution of transmission projects, from initial design through to final handover. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict adherence to company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in coordinating electrical components, managing schedules, and maintaining rigorous quality and safety protocols will be instrumental in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination and Execution: Manage transmission projects from the base design stage through to final acceptance, ensuring all deliverables align with the scope of work, company standards, and client expectations. Coordinate all activities seamlessly to facilitate timely project completion.
• Technical Review and Approval: Evaluate and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications. Forward engineering transmittals to relevant divisions of the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for review and approval.
• Progress Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular technical reports and monthly progress updates to the Project Manager. Develop detailed weekly construction programs and resource plans to optimize manpower allocation and achieve project milestones efficiently.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the construction/project manager, client, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration. Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards, thereby meeting or exceeding client satisfaction.
• Project Monitoring and Control: Utilize P6 Primavera for real-time monitoring of daily operations, tracking project budgets, and ensuring deliverables remain on schedule. Identify potential risks or deviations early and implement corrective actions to mitigate impacts on project timelines and costs.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the transmission or power sector. Proficiency in project management software, including P6 Primavera, is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required to effectively manage complex projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable.
