Quality Control Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments adhere to stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our temperature-controlled products, safeguarding compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and supporting warehouse operations with precision and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipment Inspection and Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming shipments using approved receiving checklists to verify compliance with established quality standards and regulatory mandates. Ensure that all products meet the required specifications before acceptance.
• Temperature Data Management: Responsible for collecting, downloading, and managing temperature data loggers for inbound shipments. Accurately document and communicate temperature readings to suppliers, ensuring transparency and accountability in the supply chain.
• Deviation Reporting and Resolution: Monitor shipments for temperature excursions, damage, or quality deviations. Promptly report any non-conformities to the Quality Assurance team and initiate appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain product integrity.
• Shipment Status and Quarantine Management: Update shipment statuses in tracking systems to facilitate seamless product release activities. Ensure that rejected or hold shipments are properly reserved in the system and quarantined as required by regulatory bodies such as the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) or vendor specifications.
• Record Maintenance and Validation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of temperature and quality data for both inbound and outbound shipments. Conduct temperature validation for warehouses and vehicles in accordance with the annual validation plan to ensure ongoing compliance with GDP requirements.
• Warehouse Temperature Monitoring: Continuously monitor warehouse temperature conditions and review monthly readings to identify any deviations. Initiate corrective actions as needed to uphold optimal storage conditions and prevent product degradation.
• Quality and Compliance Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support adherence to quality standards, GDP requirements, and internal quality procedures. Act as a liaison between warehouse operations, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless compliance across all processes.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a Quality Control or warehouse operations role. Prior exposure to quality standards and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, quality control methodologies, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Familiarity with handling temperature-controlled products is considered an advantage.
• Analytical and Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records, follow detailed procedures, and execute tasks with precision. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and addressing quality deviations effectively.
