Key Responsibilities

The Telecommunications Specialist will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Network Design and Deployment: Develop, deploy, and optimize telecommunications networks, including VoIP (Voice over IP), SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), and PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) systems, to meet the evolving needs of enterprise clients.
• System Integration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to seamlessly integrate telecommunications solutions with existing infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
• Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor network performance, conduct diagnostics, and resolve issues to minimize downtime and maximize reliability. Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
• Hardware Configuration and Management: Configure, manage, and maintain critical telecommunications hardware, including routers, switches, gateways, and other network devices, to ensure optimal functionality and security.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in telecommunications engineering, network administration, or a closely related field, with a proven track record in designing and managing communication systems.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols, as well as network architecture, routing, and switching principles. Familiarity with industry-standard telecommunications hardware is essential.
• Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex network issues, implement effective solutions, and prevent recurrence.
• Tool Familiarity: Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and security threats.
