Key Responsibilities

The QA Technician will be responsible for a range of critical tasks designed to uphold and enhance product quality. Your core duties will include:

• Quality Inspections: Conducting thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of inspection results, test findings, and quality control activities. Preparing comprehensive reports for management to support data-driven decision-making and process improvements.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensuring adherence to local, regional, and international quality standards, including ISO, HACCP, and other relevant certifications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality management systems.
• Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate product quality. Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address quality deviations.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with production, logistics, and R&D teams to align quality objectives with operational goals. Providing training and guidance to staff on quality protocols and best practices to foster a culture of excellence.
• Equipment and Calibration: Assisting in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results. Troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, or a related field. Alternatively, a diploma in a relevant discipline with proven experience in quality assurance may be considered.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry, preferably in a large-scale production environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Familiarity with tools such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or GMP is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies that may impact product quality.
• Proficiency in using quality control software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools to document and analyze inspection results.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
