Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Integration and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive software integration and testing strategies. Your core duties will include:

• Software Integration: Oversee the integration of complex software components into cohesive systems, ensuring compatibility and interoperability across multiple platforms and environments.
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. Execute tests rigorously to identify defects, inconsistencies, or vulnerabilities.
• Defect Analysis and Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results, diagnose root causes of issues, and recommend corrective actions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Automation and Tool Development: Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process, improve accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all software integration and testing activities adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and Raytheon’s internal policies to maintain the highest standards of quality and security.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, system architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to align testing efforts with project goals and deliverables.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive test reports, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, progress, and recommendations to leadership and clients.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software integration, testing, and validation, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal role.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or similar is required.
• Testing Tools: Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
• Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing principles, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing techniques.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSQA, or CISSP are highly desirable.
