About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned VP of Finance to join the executive leadership team of a rapidly expanding technology and AI enterprise headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will play a central part in guiding the company through its strategic journey toward an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), while also shaping its long-term financial trajectory. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will serve as a trusted advisor, driving financial strategy, capital markets positioning, and operational excellence to ensure a seamless transition to public company status and sustained growth beyond the listing.

Core Responsibilities

The VP of Finance will be responsible for a broad and impactful remit, with approximately 70–80% of the role dedicated to high-level financial strategy and capital markets leadership. Key responsibilities include:

• IPO Readiness and Execution: Spearhead the company’s preparation for its IPO, overseeing financial structuring, regulatory compliance, shareholder engagement, and adherence to Saudi Exchange listing requirements. Ensure all financial and operational frameworks are aligned with the demands of a publicly traded entity.
• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy encompassing long-term planning, forecasting, capital allocation, and investor relations. Collaborate closely with the CEO to align financial objectives with corporate growth initiatives and market positioning.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and oversee a Finance Director and a lean but high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational rigor to support the company’s evolving needs.
• Board and Investor Engagement: Partner with the CEO to prepare board-level presentations, investor communications, and strategic decision-making frameworks. Represent the company with confidence and credibility in high-stakes meetings with institutional investors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Financial Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust financial controls, reporting frameworks, and governance structures that meet the standards of a listed company. Ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Sector-Specific Insights: Leverage deep expertise in the technology and AI sectors to refine financial models, assess market trends, and inform strategic growth initiatives. Provide data-driven insights to support long-term value creation and competitive positioning.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Proven Leadership: Minimum 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong track record in technology, AI, or technology consulting firms. Hands-on experience in leading a company through a full IPO process is essential.
• Market Expertise: Direct experience in the Saudi Arabian market, with a deep understanding of the local regulatory landscape, capital markets, and business environment. Familiarity with Tadawul’s listing requirements and pre-IPO dynamics is highly advantageous.
• Language and Cultural Fit: Fluency in Arabic is preferred; candidates who are Saudi nationals or possess strong Arabic language skills are strongly encouraged to apply. This role requires seamless integration into the local business ecosystem and cultural context.
• Educational and Professional Credentials: Degree from a top-tier institution (e.g., Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, or equivalent). Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is required to demonstrate technical expertise and commitment to excellence.
• Strategic Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at the CEO and board levels. Proven capacity to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences, including institutional investors and regulatory bodies.
• Location and Availability: Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate. The role demands a high level of engagement and availability to support the company’s strategic objectives and IPO timeline.
