About the Role

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CCNP Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a temporary, three-month contract position designed to support critical security infrastructure projects and ensure the seamless operation of our client’s network environments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Cisco security technologies, a deep understanding of network security principles, and a proven track record in implementing robust security solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while working alongside industry-leading professionals in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation: Develop, configure, and deploy advanced security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and endpoint security tools, leveraging Cisco technologies such as ASA, Firepower, and ISE.
  • Network Security Architecture: Analyze and enhance existing security architectures to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level technical support for security-related incidents, including root cause analysis, resolution of complex issues, and proactive monitoring to prevent future disruptions.
  • Policy and Compliance Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish, enforce, and audit security policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and cybersecurity specialists, to deliver cohesive security solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, policies, and incident reports.
  • Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to proactively identify and address potential threats before they escalate into critical issues.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Certifications: Must hold a valid CCNP Security certification, with additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH considered a strong advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Cisco security technologies, including ASA, Firepower, ISE, and AnyConnect. Familiarity with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level security solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex security issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English is essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving security threats and technologies.
