Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist - Accounts Payable to join our dynamic finance team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Specialist - Accounts Payable will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:
- Invoice Processing and Verification: Accurately review, validate, and process vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase orders, contracts, and company policies to prevent discrepancies and fraud.
- Payment Authorization and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals, schedule timely payments, and maintain optimal cash flow while adhering to payment terms and internal controls.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and negotiating favorable payment terms to enhance operational efficiency.
- Reconciliation and Reporting: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable records with general ledger entries, prepare detailed financial reports, and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and resolving audit findings promptly.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable workflows, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience within the real estate, construction, or investment sectors is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and familiarity with automated accounts payable software.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
