Network Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our organization’s network infrastructure, cybersecurity framework, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our wired and wireless networks, secure connectivity across all locations, and robust protection of our digital assets. As a key contributor to our IT strategy, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

The Network Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing our IT infrastructure. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Network Design and Management: Design, develop, and maintain the company’s internal intranet, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Manage both wired and wireless network infrastructure to guarantee high availability and seamless connectivity.
• Connectivity and Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain robust Internet and WAN connectivity solutions to facilitate seamless communication and data transfer between all company locations.
• Server and System Administration: Administer servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure services to ensure their reliability, performance, and security. This includes managing virtual and physical server environments.
• Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including email, collaboration tools, and cloud-based applications, to support productivity and business continuity.
• Cybersecurity and Network Protection: Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, and other security controls to safeguard the organization against cyber threats. Implement and enforce information security policies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of an incident.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Diagnose and address network, server, and application-related challenges with efficiency and precision.
• IT Asset and License Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and technology-related contracts to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
• Project Participation: Contribute to the planning, implementation, and delivery of IT projects, aligning them with business objectives and technological advancements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and update comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and periodic reports to ensure transparency and accountability within the IT department.
• Policy Development and Compliance: Update, implement, and monitor IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Innovation and Improvement: Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions and process improvements to enhance the efficiency, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of six years of hands-on experience in network administration, server management, and IT infrastructure operations.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 Administration, Active Directory, and networking technologies, with a strong understanding of cloud-based solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including firewall configuration, VPN management, backup strategies, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
