SAP Basis & Security Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Basis & Security Lead to drive our technical team and oversee the administration, performance, and security of our SAP landscapes. This role involves direct management, mentoring, and task assignment of the SAP Basis technical team, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SAP Basis leadership, with a strong background in SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, ALM, Cloud Connector, etc.) and a deep understanding of SAP Basis administration, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. They will also possess expert knowledge of SAP Security, user authorization, roles, and audit compliance.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP landscapes
• Establishing best practices, standards, and operational guidelines for SAP Basis operations
• Designing, planning, and executing SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patch implementations
• Managing backup/recovery strategies, high availability (HA) setups, and disaster recovery (DR) drills
• Overseeing SAP system security, user authorization concepts, transport management, and audit compliance protocols
• Managing day-to-day work for internal Basis engineers to ensure strict adherence to SLAs

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years of SAP Basis experience with proven experience as SAP Basis Lead / Technical Lead
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, SAP HANA)
• Expertise in SAP Basis administration, upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, kernel updates, and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of SAP Security, user authorization, roles, and audit compliance
• Experience managing SAP Basis teams and ensuring SLA compliance
• Experience with HA/DR, backup & recovery strategies
• Good knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
