Job Title: SC/M | Cyber Operate | SOC L2 | Jeddah | Saudi Nationals Only

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cyber Operate Specialist (SOC L2) to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of cybersecurity operations, with a primary focus on Security Operations Center (SOC) Level 2 functions. Your duties will include:

  • Threat Monitoring and Detection: Actively monitor security alerts and events using advanced SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to identify potential security incidents. Analyze logs, network traffic, and system behaviors to detect anomalies and suspicious activities.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and triage security incidents to determine their scope, impact, and root cause. Collaborate with SOC L1 analysts to escalate and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Vulnerability Management: Assist in the identification, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities within the organization’s IT infrastructure. Work closely with IT teams to prioritize and implement security patches and mitigations.
  • Threat Intelligence Integration: Utilize threat intelligence feeds to enhance detection capabilities and stay ahead of emerging cyber threats. Contribute to the continuous improvement of security policies, procedures, and controls based on the latest threat landscape.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed incident reports, including timelines, actions taken, and recommendations for future prevention. Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to convey security risks, incidents, and remediation strategies effectively. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, or ArcSight), IDS/IPS systems, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Capable of analyzing complex security events and making informed decisions under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Certifications: Active certifications in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC, are preferred. Willingness to pursue continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, adaptability to evolving threats, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in cybersecurity.
