About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solutions Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at NetApp, based in Riyadh. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of solutions engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutions to our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solutions engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, support, and career development opportunities to ensure team members thrive in their roles.
• Technical Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement technical strategies aligned with NetApp’s business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering, to design and deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs and drive business growth.
• Customer Engagement and Success: Act as a trusted advisor to key customers, understanding their business challenges and translating them into technical solutions. Work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities, present solutions, and ensure seamless execution to achieve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Solution Architecture and Innovation: Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions, leveraging NetApp’s portfolio of products and services. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Process Optimization and Efficiency: Streamline and optimize engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce time-to-market, and improve overall operational efficiency. Implement best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across the team.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, partners, and vendors. Communicate effectively to align expectations, manage risks, and drive consensus on critical decisions.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team and individual performance. Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in solutions engineering, technical leadership, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of storage, data management, cloud computing, and enterprise IT solutions. Familiarity with NetApp’s product portfolio and industry-leading technologies is highly desirable.
• Leadership and Management: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on mentorship, coaching, and talent development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and motivate teams.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for customer success, with the ability to understand complex business challenges and translate them into actionable technical solutions. Strong presentation and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems, drive innovation, and adapt to evolving business needs. A forward-thinking approach to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in the fields of data storage, cloud, and enterprise IT. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., NetApp, AWS, Azure, VMware) are a plus.
