About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Executive Director of Investment Management to lead the strategic direction and operational execution of our organization’s investment portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive investment management strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term objectives, market opportunities, and risk appetite, ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing investment team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive exceptional performance and professional growth.
• Portfolio Management & Optimization: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives that enhance portfolio performance while effectively managing risk across traditional and alternative asset classes, including equities, fixed income, private equity, derivatives, and real estate.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, boards, regulators, and external partners to strengthen the organization’s investment network, credibility, and access to capital.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to rigorous governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management protocols across all investment activities, mitigating operational and reputational risks.
• Performance Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear, insightful, and actionable investment performance reports to the Board, senior management, and key stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations for portfolio adjustments and long-term value creation.
• Client-Centric Solutions: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique investment objectives and develop tailored solutions that align with their financial goals, risk tolerance, and evolving market conditions.
• Technology & Innovation: Champion the adoption of advanced investment technologies, analytics, and data-driven decision-making tools to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and competitive positioning in the market.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in investment management, with a proven track record in portfolio management, strategy development, and team leadership. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of a diverse range of asset classes and a deep understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks in the investment industry.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data to drive actionable insights. Strong communication and negotiation abilities are essential, as you will engage with stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to board members. Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, industry presentations, or active involvement in professional networks is highly desirable.
