Senior Business Analyst

Job Purpose

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position is designed for professionals who excel in performing advanced and technically complex data and information analysis. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to manage data collection, conduct intricate analyses, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of all documented reports. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:

• Project Planning and Execution: Actively participate in the planning and execution of STC’s analysis and reporting projects, delivering relevant statistics and documentation in a timely and accurate manner to support business objectives.
• Complex Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of STC’s business, market, and performance data, ensuring that all findings are thoroughly reviewed and validated for accuracy and relevance. This includes preparing detailed reports that provide actionable insights for senior management.
• Compliance and Documentation: Implement and oversee analysis and reporting procedures in strict adherence to procedural, documentation, and legislative requirements. Ensure that all processes align with organizational standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Strategic Planning Support: Conduct feasibility studies, prepare market forecasts, and develop activity plans to guide strategic decision-making. Assist in tracking progress and evaluating business outcomes to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between key stakeholders both within and outside the organization, ensuring that all analysis and reporting matters are addressed efficiently and effectively. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to foster collaboration and alignment.
• Team Leadership and Operations: Manage day-to-day team operations within your designated scope, overseeing work processes and ensuring accuracy. Allocate work plans to team members to maintain continuity, and prepare comprehensive reports to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
• Risk Management and Monitoring: Coordinate with international tariffs/traders on a regular basis to monitor trading positions and mitigate risks associated with breaches or over-exposure to authorized positions. Analyze the profitability of potential business opportunities to inform effective decision-making.
• Team Support and Development: Provide mentorship and support to team members, resolving routine queries to ensure seamless workflows. Collaborate with other supervisors to identify synergies and enhance cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or any other relevant major is required. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a closely related field is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality analytical work in complex environments.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in business analysis, data analytics, or related disciplines are desirable and will be taken into consideration during the evaluation process.
