Key Responsibilities

• On-the-Floor Engineering Support: Provide hands-on engineering assistance to operations and maintenance teams to assess equipment performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and evaluate system capabilities.
• Safety Leadership: Champion a robust safety culture by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors, while encouraging employees to contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Capital Project Execution: Lead and execute capital projects focused on upgrading plant systems, process equipment, and scalable transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Mechanical Requirements and Estimates: Develop detailed mechanical requirements and cost estimates for projects and equipment upgrades to ensure alignment with budgetary and technical objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams to ensure the successful planning, implementation, and integration of projects and initiatives.
• Equipment Oversight: Supervise the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of critical manufacturing equipment, including conveying systems, automated stacking equipment, batching operations, and combustion furnace systems.
• Technical Documentation: Read, modify, and create technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated models to support engineering and operational activities.
• Training and Technical Support: Provide comprehensive training and technical guidance to Maintenance and Production Departments to enhance operational knowledge and efficiency.
• Failure Analysis: Investigate equipment failures and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and prevent future issues.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment safety systems and adherence to safe working practices.
• Proficiency in interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial and facility equipment, including conveyors, air compressors, fan alignment systems, mixers, chiller systems, cooling towers, R/O and DI plants, and generators.
• Experience working in continuous process automation plants, demonstrating adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to lead and support engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Expertise in fluid systems, including air, cooling water, and pure water systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will be highly competitive for this role:

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software packages for design and drafting.
• Hands-on experience in practical mechanical design, fabrication, and manufacturing support.
• Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and piping standards to ensure compliance and safety.
