Job Purpose

The Watersports Instructor plays a pivotal role in The Red Sea Project, supporting the Senior Watersports Management team in activating tourism assets and delivering a premier watersports program for guests. This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of all related projects, requiring close collaboration with hotel operators and TRSP operations teams. As a guest-facing role, the Watersports Instructor is essential to delivering an unparalleled guest experience, upholding the highest standards of service, quality, and style throughout the watersports program. Beyond instruction, this role serves as an ambassador for The Red Sea Project, shaping the nation’s enthusiasm for watersports by leading by example and educating visitors on the transformative potential of life on and around the water.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to venue-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and international regulations, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Equipment and Facility Management: Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and readiness of all equipment and facilities, including venues and related assets, to support seamless operations.
• Promotion and Advocacy: Actively promote and advocate for all watersports activities within the project, including those outside direct responsibility, such as diving, to enhance guest engagement and participation.
• Collaborative Review: Participate in regular review sessions with watersports center management to provide updates on daily operations, guest feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
• Guest Inspiration and Education: Encourage guests to explore new activities, advance their skills through training and accreditation, and discover the diverse watersports offerings available during their stay and beyond.
• Policy Adherence: Follow all functional policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions to ensure consistent, controlled, and high-quality service delivery.
• Reporting and MIS: Assist in preparing accurate and timely functional Management Information System (MIS) statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
• Safety and Quality Management: Implement safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, and environmental responsibility.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance departmental systems, processes, and practices by leveraging international best practices to drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Experience and Qualifications:
  • Relevant certification or accreditation in watersports instruction (e.g., sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, or similar activities).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a watersports instruction or related role, with a track record of delivering high-quality guest experiences.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards and regulatory compliance in watersports operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic, high-energy environments with a focus on guest satisfaction.
