As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our mechanical sealing systems achieve unparalleled reliability, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Reporting to the Service Director, you will lead reliability initiatives for our installed base, focusing on mechanical seals across diverse industrial applications. Your work will bridge the gap between technical challenges and commercial outcomes, ensuring seamless collaboration between customers, sales, service, and engineering teams. With a blend of on-site engagement and strategic reporting, you will elevate system performance, reduce downtime, and foster long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Reliability Improvement: Drive continuous enhancement of mechanical seal reliability by identifying and resolving customer pain points, conducting root cause analyses (RCA), and implementing corrective measures to minimize failures and claims.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Analysis: Independently diagnose mechanical seal issues using field data, application engineering insights, and industry standards (e.g., API 682, ANSI specifications). Prepare detailed reports, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and bad actor analyses, to inform decision-making for both internal teams and clients.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and engineering teams to resolve technical disputes, align on contractual KPIs, and ensure consistent on-site support. Engage directly with customer departments to address failures and propose sustainable solutions.
• Strategic Reporting & Coordination: Develop and submit regular reliability reports (weekly/monthly) to stakeholders, leveraging ERP systems like C4C, SealCarePro, and SAP ByD. Coordinate globally with EagleBurgmann Germany to align technical strategies and resolve complex cases.
• Fixed Fee Program Optimization: Collaborate with sales, service, and engineering to improve reliability metrics for fixed-fee projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal performance targets.
• On-Site Execution: Maintain a robust field presence with at least 3 days of travel per week to provide hands-on support, installations, and troubleshooting for critical applications, including centrifugal pumps, agitators, mixers, blowers, and compressors.
• Knowledge Sharing & Training: Contribute to internal knowledge bases, document best practices, and mentor junior engineers to uphold high standards of reliability and technical proficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with specialized knowledge in mechanical seals, fluid systems, and industrial equipment.
• Technical Expertise: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the mechanical seal industry, with a strong focus on service, on-site troubleshooting, and installation. Proficiency in Wet Mechanical Seals, API 682 standards, supply systems, and industry codes (ANSI, limits & fits tolerances) is essential.
• Application Knowledge: Deep understanding of centrifugal pumps, agitators, mixers, and blowers, with familiarity of centrifugal compressors as a plus.
• Problem-Solving & Analysis: Ability to conduct independent root cause analyses (RCA), perform mid-level troubleshooting, and propose actionable solutions under pressure.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with Arabic language proficiency being a significant advantage. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including technical meetings and customer negotiations.
• Technical & Digital Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (C4C, SealCarePro, SAP ByD), and document management tools. Experience with engineering drawings and technical documentation is a must.
• Leadership & Adaptability: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments, and adapt to evolving technical challenges while maintaining high standards of reliability and customer service.
