Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable professional to join our dynamic finance team at Accor. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by managing vendor payments, processing invoices, and maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of financial and administrative tasks, including:

• Invoice Processing and Verification: Receive, review, and process supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness. Match invoices with purchase orders, contracts, and goods received notes before processing payments to maintain financial integrity.
• Payment Management: Prepare and execute payment schedules through bank transfers, checks, or other approved methods. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to avoid disruptions in vendor relationships.
• Vendor and Employee Reimbursements: Process vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements in strict accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
• Tax and Statutory Compliance: Assist in direct and indirect taxation matters, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations. Support statutory audits, assessments, and scrutiny by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
• Financial Reporting and Closing: Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries related to accounts payable transactions. Maintain meticulous records of accounts payable aging and ensure payments align with agreed credit terms.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, enhance operational efficiency, and implement best practices to support the finance team’s strategic objectives.
• Stakeholder Communication: Respond to supplier inquiries regarding invoices and payment status, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues proactively. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an accounts payable or finance department, with a proven track record of managing financial transactions and compliance.
• Proficiency in Sun Systems, Material Control, and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages considered a valuable asset.
• Professional certifications such as SCBA are advantageous but not mandatory.
