Safety Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. In this critical position, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies while fostering a culture of safety across all project sites. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying hazards, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard our workforce and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and client-specific requirements to maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
• Site Safety Management: Conduct comprehensive site inspections, perform detailed risk assessments, and execute thorough safety audits to proactively identify and address potential hazards.
• Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations into safety incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance events, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence and enhance safety protocols.
• Training and Awareness: Deliver engaging safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness sessions to educate employees and contractors on best practices, emergency procedures, and safety protocols.
• Contractor Oversight: Monitor contractor compliance with HSE standards, ensuring alignment with project requirements and regulatory obligations while maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
• Emergency Preparedness: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness to handle potential crises effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance safety performance, reduce workplace hazards, and promote a proactive safety culture through data-driven insights and innovative solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a Safety Engineer, with a proven track record in HSE management within industrial, construction, or oil and gas environments.
• Certifications: Hold a valid NEBOSH International General Certificate, OSHA certification, or an equivalent HSE qualification. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is highly preferred.
• Mobility: Willingness to relocate within Saudi Arabia to support project sites and operational needs as required.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex safety concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
