MEP Manager

Position Overview

Premium Support Facility Management Ltd (PSFM) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MEP Manager to oversee and lead our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) operations. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of MEP projects, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and optimizing system performance to support our clients' operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex MEP installations and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and supervise MEP project teams from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality MEP solutions.
• Technical Oversight: Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems to identify inefficiencies, safety hazards, or compliance issues. Implement corrective actions and preventive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability and longevity.
• Team Management: Mentor, train, and manage a team of MEP technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate performance to ensure operational excellence.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all MEP installations and maintenance activities comply with local, regional, and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Develop and enforce safety protocols to mitigate risks and protect personnel and assets.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their MEP-related concerns, providing technical expertise, and proposing cost-effective solutions. Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to align expectations and deliver superior service.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage MEP project budgets, including procurement of materials, equipment, and labor. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of MEP projects, including drawings, specifications, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation. Prepare detailed reports for management, clients, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Innovation & Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in MEP systems. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

Core Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (or a related field). Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in MEP project management, preferably within facility management, contracting, or construction industries.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and automation systems. Familiarity with CAD software, BIM tools, and MEP design standards is highly desirable.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex MEP issues, analyze system performance data, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of local and international codes, standards, and regulations governing MEP systems, including OSHA, NFPA, and ISO requirements.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or Certified MEP Professional are advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
