الوصف الوظيفي

Director – Transactions Accounting

Join SEVEN as the visionary leader of our Transaction Accounting function, driving excellence in financial operations across our dynamic entertainment complexes, cinemas, and corporate divisions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the centralized Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)/Revenue teams, ensuring seamless, accurate, and compliant processing of all transactional activities while fostering revenue assurance, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to shape best-in-class financial processes that align with SEVEN’s strategic goals and industry standards.

As the Director of Transactions Accounting, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for managing critical financial workflows that underpin SEVEN’s financial health and stakeholder trust. Your strategic vision will guide the development of performance metrics, operational policies, and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with both internal objectives and external regulatory requirements. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will elevate process efficiency, mitigate risks, and deliver data-driven insights that empower decision-making across the organization.

Key Strategic and Managerial Responsibilities

Your leadership will be instrumental in defining and executing the following priorities:

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a robust Transaction Accounting scorecard, setting clear targets for AP throughput, AR collection performance, revenue reconciliation accuracy, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) across SEVEN’s entertainment complexes and corporate operations. Align these objectives with broader Finance strategy to drive operational excellence and financial integrity.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as SEVEN’s primary representative in engagements with internal and external audit teams, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including QIC Group Finance, to foster collaboration and transparency in financial governance.
  • Governance and Resilience: Design and oversee the implementation of comprehensive Transaction Accounting policies and procedures, covering AP processing, payment authorization, revenue recognition, ZATCA compliance, and AR collections. Monitor adherence to these frameworks to maintain operational resilience and mitigate risks across all financial streams.
  • People Management: Lead performance management initiatives within the Transaction Accounting function, aligning with HR policies to nurture a culture of continuous improvement. Foster a high-performing team that embodies professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.

Core Functional Leadership

Your expertise will be central to directing the following critical accounting functions:

  • Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
    • Oversee all AP activities in collaboration with outsourced partners, ensuring meticulous recording and validation of advance payments, prepaid expenses, petty cash, and corporate credit card transactions.
    • Direct the reconciliation process to maintain the accuracy of AP transactions and uphold the integrity of the general ledger (GL) in accordance with organizational policies.
    • Monitor invoice aging reports and conduct periodic variance analysis to identify deviations, unusual operations, or potential risks, escalating findings for resolution.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) and Revenue Assurance:
    • Lead the preparation, recording, and verification of AR documentation to ensure absolute accuracy and compliance with revenue policies and guidelines.
    • Direct revenue recognition processes, including the management of commercial promotions, discounts, and commissions, while ensuring timely billing and quality service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee cash collection operations, including daily reviews of cash reconciliations from Business Unit (BU) Finance teams, and escalate discrepancies to the Finance Manager for prompt resolution.
    • Monitor and report on leasing revenue from F&B tenancies and commercial leases, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS 16 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
    • Ensure full compliance with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements for all AR transactions, including timely and accurate submission of invoices in alignment with Phase 2 mandates.
    • Implement robust revenue assurance controls, reviewing system-generated reconciliations, identifying variances, and collaborating with IT and Operations to resolve discrepancies.
    • Direct daily reconciliations of revenue across all Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (VGS, Micros, Vista) to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition across SEVEN’s entertainment complexes.
    • Prepare aging reports and manage allowance journal entries to reflect accurate financial positions and mitigate potential risks.

This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in transactional accounting, governance, and team leadership. If you are passionate about driving operational efficiency, ensuring financial compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, we invite you to be part of SEVEN’s journey toward financial and operational leadership in the entertainment industry.
