Key Responsibilities:

• Patient-Centered Care: Deliver high-quality anesthetic services with unwavering attention to patient safety, comfort, and dignity. Ensure every interaction reflects professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to holistic healing.
• Pre-Operative Assessment: Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including detailed history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Document findings meticulously in compliance with JCIA/CBAHI standards and hospital protocols.
• Clinical Leadership: Participate in daily ward rounds, liaise with consultants regarding inpatient care plans, and contribute to the department’s Code Blue response team. Actively engage in the on-call rotation to manage emergencies and provide specialized medical advice.
• Collaborative Practice: Assist senior staff in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while supervising junior residents to foster a culture of mentorship and skill development. Engage with consultants, nurses, and healthcare professionals across specialties to ensure cohesive patient management.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on anesthetic procedures, post-operative care, and health promotion tailored to their developmental, cultural, and linguistic needs. Document educational interventions in patient records and involve families in shared decision-making processes.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Adhere strictly to Ministry of Health regulations, hospital by-laws, and departmental quality plans. Maintain accurate, timely, and legible medical records while seeking guidance from consultants when complex cases arise.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of two years of post-graduation experience in anesthesia, with a current, active medical license in the specialty. Additional experience or academic affiliations are highly desirable.
• Competencies: Demonstrate strong leadership, administrative skills, and fluency in both Arabic and English. Commitment to ethical practice, teamwork, and continuous professional development is essential.
