Welding Engineers - Oman & UAE

Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Welding Engineers to join our dynamic team in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. This is an exceptional opportunity for professionals with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in welding engineering to contribute to critical industrial projects across the region. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in advanced welding techniques, stringent quality control measures, and a deep understanding of metallurgical principles to ensure the highest standards of fabrication and structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Welding Techniques: Apply expertise in Laser Welding and Arc Welding processes to deliver precise and high-quality welds for industrial applications, ensuring structural reliability and performance.
• Quality Assurance & Control: Conduct rigorous welding inspections and implement robust quality control measures to verify compliance with international codes, standards, and client-specific requirements. This includes adherence to ASME, AWS, and ISO regulations.
• Metallurgical Assessment: Analyze material behavior, weldability, and performance under varying service conditions to optimize welding procedures and material selection for enhanced durability and safety.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting: Interpret complex technical drawings, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and prepare comprehensive technical reports to support project execution and regulatory compliance.
• Project Collaboration: Work collaboratively within multicultural project teams, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills to drive project success.
• Industry Standards & Compliance: Ensure all welding activities align with industry best practices and regulatory frameworks, particularly in sectors such as oil & gas, construction, and heavy fabrication.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A relevant engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline from a recognized institution.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel), AWS CWI (American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector), or equivalent qualifications are highly advantageous and preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of international welding standards (ASME, AWS, ISO) and experience in high-stakes industrial environments, including oil & gas, construction, or heavy fabrication projects.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex welding challenges, develop innovative solutions, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
• Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
