We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager / KSA Epic Delivery Owner to spearhead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact Epics within our organization. In this pivotal position, you will take ownership of the entire Epic lifecycle—from ideation and refinement to implementation, release, and realization of business benefits. Your strategic acumen and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the scope, defining success metrics, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple stakeholders. As the primary architect of Epic delivery, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, optimize resource allocation, and drive alignment with organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring that every Epic is delivered with precision, efficiency, and strategic foresight:

• Strategic Epic Ownership: Lead the entire Epic lifecycle, from conceptualization and refinement to implementation, release, and benefits realization. Partner with Product Managers and SMEs to define clear scope, outcomes, dependencies, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Planning and Delivery Governance: Develop and maintain comprehensive Epic delivery plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budget considerations, and milestone tracking. Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and constraints, while developing mitigation strategies and escalating critical issues as needed. Ensure adherence to enterprise strategy, regulatory frameworks, and cross-program priorities.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Foster collaboration across Agile Teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and business functions to drive unified delivery. Facilitate cross-team synchronization, manage dependencies across technology, business operations, and external partners, and track progress through tools like Jira, dashboards, and regular delivery forums.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for all Epic-related updates, decisions, and escalations. Deliver clear, concise, and transparent communication to executives, business sponsors, SMEs, and delivery teams. Lead regular stakeholder reviews, steering committees, and status presentations to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Execution and Monitoring: Oversee delivery performance against scope, schedule, quality, and budget metrics. Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, and functional leads to remove impediments and ensure teams maintain clarity on priorities and success measures.
• Quality Assurance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including delivery plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), action trackers, and reporting packages. Conduct rigorous quality checks on deliverables to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria and business expectations. Lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Business Case and Proposal Support: Contribute to the development or review of Lean Business Cases, cost-benefit assessments, and strategic proposals for new Epics or enhancements. Ensure that business outcomes, KPIs, OKRs, and value realization metrics are clearly defined, measurable, and integrated into the delivery process.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a commitment to driving operational excellence:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required. A PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience delivering complex initiatives, preferably within the healthcare or insurance industries, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing delivery across multiple workstreams or ARTs.
• Deep understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile delivery practices, with SAFe certifications being a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments with agility and strategic insight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
• Proficiency in delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, guide teams through ambiguity, and adapt to change with resilience and innovation.
• Experience in writing Epics, features, and user stories, as well as supporting UAT (User Acceptance Testing) or readiness activities.
• A self-starter mindset with strong leadership and facilitation skills, coupled with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
