Life Support Training Center - Instructor

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Life Support Training Center Instructor. In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality life support training programs, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and fostering a culture of excellence in resuscitation education. Your expertise will directly contribute to the preparedness of healthcare professionals in responding to life-threatening emergencies, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction and Training Delivery: Serve as a primary instructor for all Life Support Training Center (LSTC) programs, including Basic and Advanced life support courses. Conduct instructor training sessions as required to maintain and elevate the quality of education provided.
• Curriculum Development and Preparation: Collaborate with the training team to design, update, and prepare comprehensive curriculum materials, including reference guides, presentation slides, and evaluation tools tailored to BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other specialized programs.
• Student Assessment and Certification: Administer written and practical evaluations to assess student competency and determine eligibility for certification. Provide targeted remediation for students requiring additional support and issue course completion cards and certificates upon successful completion.
• Mock Code Programs: Organize and implement Mock Code simulations (BLS/ACLS/NRP) for healthcare staff at Fakeeh Healthcare facilities. Monitor performance, document outcomes, and provide constructive feedback to enhance clinical readiness.
• Continuing Education and Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in intensive care and resuscitation through continuous review of current literature and adherence to updated clinical guidelines. Develop professional networks with clinical specialists to incorporate best practices into training programs.
• Infection Control and Equipment Management: Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies, including proper cleaning and maintenance of training equipment. Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and managing inventory to meet LSTC service requirements while complying with Fakeeh Care quality and safety standards.
• Classroom and Lab Preparation: Set up and maintain classrooms and skill labs to align with teaching and testing objectives. Coordinate with staff rosters to optimize training schedules and clinical needs.
• Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly meet with management to review resuscitation training outcomes, monitor compliance levels, and identify areas for improvement. Collate test results and maintain accurate documentation in the SHA portal to ensure regulatory and organizational standards are met.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and educational staff, to foster a collaborative learning environment. Participate in outreach programs and deliver life support training at external healthcare organizations as assigned.
• Administrative and Strategic Support: Utilize resources efficiently to achieve LSTC training goals. Assist in the procurement of necessary equipment and supplies, and attend departmental and unit director meetings to contribute to the planning and implementation of LSTC workflows and policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: MBBS/MD from a recognized medical school or a Registered Nurse with a BSc/MSc in Nursing, along with country-specific registration and exposure to health sciences.
• Certifications: Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP from the American Heart Association (AHA) and Saudi Heart Association (SHA).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and related life support courses.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to convey complex medical concepts clearly and effectively. Superior time management and organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to engage with diverse teams and students.

This role operates within a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare training environment, requiring a blend of instructional, administrative, and clinical collaboration. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals, educators, and administrative staff to ensure the highest standards of life support training are maintained. Flexibility to participate in evening or weekend sessions, as well as off-site training programs, may be required to accommodate the needs of the organization and its partners.
