Eram Talent, a distinguished talent acquisition firm specializing in the Oil & Energy sector, is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer (Refinery) to provide on-site technical expertise at the YASREF refinery in Saudi Arabia. This critical role demands a highly skilled professional capable of delivering advanced process engineering support to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety across refinery units. Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert-level process engineering support to refinery operations, including monitoring plant performance, analyzing operational data, and recommending strategic improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex operational issues in real-time, offering immediate technical solutions to minimize downtime and maintain seamless refinery operations.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, debottlenecking, and plant modifications to maximize throughput, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall operational performance.
• Design & Simulation Validation: Review and validate process design, simulation models, and operational data to ensure accuracy and alignment with refinery objectives. Utilize advanced simulation tools to model and optimize refinery processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to address process-related challenges, facilitate knowledge sharing, and implement best practices across the refinery.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures. Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and the development of safety management systems.
• Project Support: Contribute to shutdowns, startups, and commissioning activities, providing technical guidance to ensure smooth and safe execution of critical refinery operations.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the technical expertise required to drive operational excellence in a refinery environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in refinery process engineering, with a proven track record in technical support and operational optimization.

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate must demonstrate specialized knowledge in at least one of the following refinery process units or areas:

• Refinery Process Units:
  • Two Stage Hydrocracking
  • LPG Olefin Saturation
  • Mercaptan Removal
  • Delayed Coking
• Technical Areas:
  • Refinery Process Simulation (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim)
  • Relief Load & Flare System Analysis
  • Process Hydraulics Calculations
  • Fired Heaters Design & Operation
  • Refinery Real-Time Optimization (RTO)
