We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Utility Engineer with specialized expertise in bridges to join our dynamic team at SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Utility Engineer will be responsible for leading and contributing to the planning, design, analysis, and implementation of utility systems associated with bridge projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and client-specific requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Project Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Design and Analysis: Develop and review detailed utility designs for bridge projects, including drainage systems, electrical utilities, communication systems, and other critical infrastructure components.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all utility designs and installations adhere to local, regional, and international codes, standards, and regulations, including those set by relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential challenges in utility integration for bridges, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including structural engineers, architects, contractors, and utility providers, to align utility systems with bridge design and construction timelines.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in utility engineering to enhance the efficiency and environmental performance of bridge projects.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in a specialized area is highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in utility engineering, with at least 5 years specifically focused on bridge infrastructure projects. Experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar platforms. Familiarity with utility modeling and simulation software is a plus.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required. Additional certifications in bridge engineering or utility management are advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is a valuable asset for seamless collaboration with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
