Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of asset management duties, including but not limited to:

• Centralized Asset Governance: Maintain an up-to-date, department-wide fixed asset register that reflects real-time inventory accuracy, ensuring seamless cross-functional access and transparency.
• Asset Deployment and Tracking: Implement standardized procedures for tagging, documenting, and barcoding all company assets upon receipt, deployment, and relocation, leveraging technology to enhance visibility and accountability.
• Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical asset audits to reconcile system records with actual inventory, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures to prevent misplacement or loss.
• Strategic Asset Movement: Facilitate asset transfers, write-offs, and disposals in strict adherence to company policy, ensuring proper documentation and compliance at every stage.
• Financial Collaboration: Partner with the finance team to calculate and record depreciation, verify asset values, and reconcile asset-related accounts during monthly and year-end closing cycles.
• Procurement and Warehouse Coordination: Validate asset acquisition records and delivery confirmations with procurement and warehouse teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness in asset documentation.
• Usage Optimization: Monitor asset utilization patterns to identify underutilized or idle assets, proposing reallocation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.
• Reporting and Compliance: Generate comprehensive asset-related reports for finance leadership and auditors (both internal and external), ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and refine asset control processes to minimize errors, reduce losses, and improve overall efficiency through data-driven insights.
• Policy and Audit Support: Assist in periodic policy reviews and ensure adherence to accounting standards, audit protocols, and company procedures, mitigating risks and enhancing governance.
• Incident Resolution: Investigate and report instances of missing or damaged assets, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and minimize financial impact.
• Documentation Security: Maintain secure storage and backup of all asset-related documentation, including warranties, contracts, and compliance records, ensuring accessibility and integrity.

Travel and Flexibility

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this position, you will bring:

• 3–4 Years of Relevant Experience: Proven experience in asset management, finance operations, or internal audit, with a strong foundation in fixed asset lifecycle processes.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a robust understanding of financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems or fixed asset modules, along with proficiency in Excel and asset tracking software to manage large datasets with precision.
• Analytical and Detail-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical skills, to identify inconsistencies, validate data accuracy, and ensure compliance.
