Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer - Interface will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Interface Management: Develop and implement robust interface management plans to ensure smooth integration between different project components, systems, and stakeholders. This includes identifying potential risks and proactively addressing interface-related issues to prevent delays or disruptions.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all interface-related communications, fostering strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies. Your ability to negotiate and align conflicting priorities will be essential to maintaining project momentum.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to ensure that all interface deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes reviewing design documents, conducting interface audits, and validating compliance with contractual obligations.
• Problem Resolution: Analyze complex interface issues and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and minimize project impact. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be critical in resolving conflicts and ensuring that all parties remain aligned with project objectives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to track interface progress, highlight key risks, and recommend corrective actions. Your ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely will be vital for informing stakeholders and driving informed decision-making.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all interface activities adhere to local, national, and international regulations, as well as the company’s safety and quality policies. This includes conducting regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) or a related technical discipline. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in project management or interface management are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project engineering, interface management, or a closely related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in the oil and gas, energy, or construction sectors.
• Strong technical proficiency in interface management tools, software, and methodologies, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, API, or ASME is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
