Director/Senior Director - Operational Planning & Performance (DEL 1)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director/Senior Director of Operational Planning & Performance (DEL 1) to join our dynamic team at Qiddiya Investment Company. This pivotal role will be based in Saudi Arabia and will focus on driving strategic operational excellence, optimizing performance metrics, and ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational leadership, strategic planning, and performance management, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results in complex, high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director/Senior Director of Operational Planning & Performance, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:

• Strategic Operational Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive operational plans that align with the company’s long-term vision and business objectives. Ensure that all operational activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with established timelines and budgets.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Ensure seamless integration of operational strategies across all business units to achieve organizational goals.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s interests. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies to maintain operational integrity.
• Resource Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize resource allocation, including workforce, technology, and financial resources, to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Implement best practices in resource management to drive cost savings and improve overall performance.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present detailed reports on operational performance, progress against strategic objectives, and key business insights to senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Facilitate transparent communication to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in operational planning, performance management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial capacity. Prior experience in the real estate, infrastructure, or investment sectors is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operational planning tools, performance management software, and data analytics platforms. Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting are essential.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are critical. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational best practices, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with the Middle East market, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is advantageous.
