Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance Oversight: Supervise daily operations to ensure adherence to strict quality control protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across manufacturing processes.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, implementing best practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency.
• Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with local and international quality standards, including ISO, HACCP, and other relevant certifications, while maintaining meticulous documentation and audit readiness.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and senior management, to align quality objectives with business goals and drive strategic initiatives.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively assess potential risks in manufacturing processes, developing and executing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate quality-related issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team and process effectiveness, providing regular reports to leadership with actionable insights and recommendations.
• Training and Development: Champion a culture of learning by identifying training needs, conducting workshops, and fostering professional growth within the team to uphold the highest standards of quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., ASQ, ISO Lead Auditor) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis tools is essential.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven track record in leading high-performing teams, with strong interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex quality concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in using quality management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
