Position Overview

Almarai, a leading multinational food and beverage company headquartered in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety & Security Advisor to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be based on-site in Saudi Arabia and will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety, health compliance, and security protocols across our operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and a proactive approach to mitigating risks while fostering a culture of safety and security excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health, safety, and security policies, procedures, and programs aligned with national and international regulations, including OSHA, ISO standards, and local labor laws.
• Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate their impact, and recommend corrective actions to minimize workplace incidents and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Training & Development: Design and deliver specialized training sessions for employees at all levels to enhance awareness of health, safety, and security best practices, ensuring a well-informed and vigilant workforce.
• Incident Investigation & Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or security breaches, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence while maintaining detailed incident reports for regulatory bodies.
• Compliance Monitoring: Regularly audit facilities, operations, and processes to ensure adherence to health, safety, and security standards, and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as required.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness to handle crises such as natural disasters, workplace injuries, or security threats effectively.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, legal, and senior management, to integrate safety and security measures into daily business practices and strategic initiatives.
• Technology Integration: Leverage advanced safety management systems, monitoring tools, and digital platforms to track compliance, analyze trends, and enhance the efficiency of health and safety operations.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Security Management, or a related field. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in health, safety, and security advisory roles is essential, with a proven track record in a corporate or industrial environment. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent are highly desirable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
