Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Supervisor at Almarai, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our engineering teams and processes. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and performance targets.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor daily engineering operations to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction, and process optimization. Implement best practices to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
• Maintenance Management: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across facilities, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and regulatory standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Safety and Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing Almarai’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and training sessions to mitigate workplace hazards and ensure full compliance with local and international regulations.
• Project Coordination: Lead and support engineering projects, from planning and execution to completion. Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to resolve complex engineering challenges. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between engineering teams, senior management, and external partners. Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations through clear and concise reports and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in engineering supervision, preferably within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors. Proven track record in leading teams and managing large-scale operations.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and safety management systems. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other relevant software tools.
• Leadership Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Demonstrated problem-solving acumen and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure environments.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred. Additional languages are a plus.
• Certifications: Valid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) and familiarity with ISO standards are highly desirable.
