Key Responsibilities

• Driver Training and Development: Deliver comprehensive driving instruction to employees, focusing on safe and efficient vehicle operation, particularly in the context of poultry transportation. Ensure trainees meet Almarai’s high standards for driving proficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Curriculum Implementation: Develop and execute training programs tailored to the specific needs of poultry logistics, including vehicle handling, load security, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Compliance and Certification: Conduct assessments to ensure all drivers are certified and compliant with local and international driving regulations, as well as Almarai’s internal policies. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, evaluations, and certifications.
• Safety Advocacy: Promote a culture of safety within the organization by emphasizing defensive driving techniques, hazard awareness, and emergency response procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and provide feedback to drivers and management.
• Equipment Familiarization: Train drivers on the proper use and maintenance of specialized vehicles and equipment used in poultry transportation, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in driver training. Recommend and implement improvements to training programs to enhance efficiency and safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in driver education, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a driving instructor, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in the poultry, logistics, or agricultural sectors.
• Certifications: Valid driving instructor certification and a clean driving record. Additional certifications in safety training or fleet management are advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using training software, GPS systems, and vehicle diagnostic tools. Familiarity with poultry-specific logistics and regulations is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to training and development.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic and English; additional languages relevant to the region are a plus.
