Key Responsibilities:

• Program Development and Implementation: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive occupational health programs, including health screenings, vaccinations, and ergonomic assessments, to ensure a safe and healthy workforce across transport and logistics operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to local, regional, and international occupational health regulations, including those set by the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development, as well as global standards like OSHA and ILO.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments for high-hazard environments, such as warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation hubs, and implement targeted interventions to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Employee Wellness Initiatives: Design and promote wellness programs that address physical, mental, and ergonomic health, enhancing productivity and morale within the logistics teams.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs on occupational health best practices, emergency response protocols, and hazard communication to ensure all employees are equipped with the knowledge to maintain a safe workplace.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including safety officers, HR, and logistics managers, to integrate occupational health strategies into broader operational goals and initiatives.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze occupational health data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and recommend data-backed improvements to enhance workplace safety and health outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Occupational Health (e.g., CIH, COHN) are a significant advantage.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in occupational health, preferably within the transport, logistics, or industrial sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of occupational health regulations, safety standards, and best practices, with a strong emphasis on compliance in high-risk environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with the ability to translate complex health data into actionable strategies.
• Fluency in Arabic is an asset, given the operational context in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with occupational health software, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) management systems, and data analytics tools is highly desirable.
