Key Responsibilities

As the Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and presentation across all public spaces. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership: Supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to company standards.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage daily housekeeping operations in public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restaurants, pools, and recreational facilities, to guarantee a consistently pristine environment.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to assess the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, addressing any deficiencies promptly and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective utilization while maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Guest Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for guests regarding housekeeping concerns, addressing inquiries or complaints with professionalism and a commitment to resolution.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies, to create a secure and compliant working environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage, to coordinate housekeeping efforts and uphold the resort’s luxury standards.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of leadership experience, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or housekeeping is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and excellence.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for cleanliness and presentation, with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with housekeeping management systems and standard cleaning equipment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
