IT specialist ( Saudi Nationals only )

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Specialist to join our team at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals and offers a full-time opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure. The IT Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our computer systems, networks, and end-user devices, thereby supporting both our associates and guests in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational duties, including but not limited to:

• System and Network Maintenance: Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot computer networks, servers, and supporting software to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Hardware and Software Support: Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems, including workstations, laptops, docking stations, and printers. Install, configure, and modify hardware and software as needed.
• User Account Management: Manage user accounts by setting up, removing, and resetting passwords to ensure confidentiality and proper system usage.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Communicate with IS personnel to resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, internet access, and peripheral equipment. Respond to program error messages and correct problems promptly.
• Data Security and Backup: Perform system backups, secure backup tapes, and educate users on procedures for protecting Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
• End-User Support: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, including reading technical manuals, conducting diagnostics, and offering guidance on best practices.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology devices and ensure proper documentation of hardware and software configurations.
• Physical Tasks: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance, as required by the role.
• Compliance and Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the protection of company assets and the safeguarding of guest and associate information.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: At least one year of related work experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar technical field is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with computer hardware, software, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies is essential.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with associates, vendors, and guests.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and independently.
• Physical Requirements: Capability to perform physical tasks such as moving and handling equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
