Your Role and Responsibilities

In this dynamic and challenging position, you will lead the structural design, development, and optimization of complex concrete and steel frameworks for monumental infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of critical tasks, including:

• Advanced Structural Design and Analysis: Utilize cutting-edge structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE, to develop robust and innovative structural solutions for high-rise buildings, infrastructure components, and multi-use master-planned developments.
• Technical Review and Validation: Oversee and validate structural design submittals, contractor shop drawings, technical specifications, and calculations to ensure strict adherence to project guidelines, international standards, and regulatory requirements. Your meticulous attention to detail will safeguard the integrity and performance of every structural element.
• Constructability and Value Engineering: Conduct thorough technical reviews to assess project constructability, identify opportunities for value engineering, and evaluate component maintainability. Your insights will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainability in project execution.
• Field Inspections and Quality Assurance: Perform routine site observations and field inspections to verify that construction activities comply with approved design drawings, method statements, and stringent quality control procedures. Your on-ground presence will ensure that every structural component is built to specification.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers, designers, and CAD/BIM modelers within the project team. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing, professional development, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate extensively with cross-functional discipline leads, including Architecture, MEP, Geotechnical, and Infrastructure teams, to resolve complex design interfaces and ensure seamless project execution. Your ability to communicate effectively across disciplines will be key to achieving project milestones and delivering cohesive solutions.

Your Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of advanced technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in structural engineering are highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering and design, with a proven track record on large-scale infrastructure projects, high-rise buildings, or complex multi-use developments. Prior experience in the Middle East, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and design software, including STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE. A strong working knowledge of CAD/BIM integration tools and methodologies is essential for seamless project delivery.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of international structural building codes, such as AISC, ACI, and Eurocodes, with familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC). Your expertise in navigating diverse regulatory frameworks will ensure compliance and project success.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling you to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. Your ability to write detailed engineering reports and present technical solutions to clients and senior management will be critical to driving project outcomes.
