Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the entire project lifecycle, from initial conception to final execution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical Systems Leadership: Lead the development of mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. Oversee the design, installation, and operation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other critical infrastructure components.
• Project Management: Manage mechanical aspects of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
• Technical Expertise and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges. Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices and high-performance standards.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews, inspections, and testing protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of mechanical designs and installations. Stay current with emerging technologies, regulations, and standards to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, addressing their concerns and providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and project timelines.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance of mechanical systems.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional certification in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 14 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on construction oversight and project execution.
• Proven experience in large-scale projects, such as stadiums or public venues, is highly desirable.
• Experience in Project Management Consultant (PMC) roles is a plus.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software, to design and analyze mechanical systems.

Desired Skills and Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including design principles, installation methods, and operational requirements.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards governing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international requirements.
• Strong project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to MEP systems, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with a preference for SAP functional skills, to streamline project execution and resource management.
