Your Role and Responsibilities

In this critical position, you will leverage your multidisciplinary expertise to provide robust technical review and assurance for complex transportation infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Review and Coordination: Conduct thorough technical reviews of highway, roadway, interchange, and infrastructure designs, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate and evaluate engineering submissions across transportation, drainage, structural, geotechnical, utilities, and traffic engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to the Saudi Highway Code (SHC), Ministry of Transport (MOT) standards, AASHTO guidelines, and other relevant international regulations to guarantee safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Review and approve design reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical studies to validate accuracy and completeness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all project stages, providing expert guidance and resolving technical challenges to maintain project momentum.
• Proposal Evaluation: Assess and evaluate technical proposals to ensure they meet project objectives, budgetary constraints, and technical specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in transportation and highway engineering, with a proven track record in major infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, bridges, and transportation programs.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in reviewing multidisciplinary engineering designs and proficiency in industry-standard software, including Civil 3D, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
• Industry Exposure: Prior experience working within Project Management Consultancy (PMC), client, or design consultancy environments, providing a comprehensive understanding of project delivery processes and stakeholder management.
