Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Team Leadership and Management: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service while adhering to Marriott International’s standards and protocols.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage daily housekeeping operations, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff, to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards. Address any deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Inventory and Supply Management: Oversee the procurement, distribution, and inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure optimal availability and cost efficiency.
• Guest Relations: Act as a point of contact for guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests related to housekeeping services. Resolve issues professionally and escalate complex matters to senior management when necessary.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to Marriott International’s health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as local regulations. Promote a safe working environment for all staff members.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, staff performance, and inventory levels. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to senior management as required.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with the Human Resources department to implement ongoing professional development programs that enhance staff skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or certification in hospitality management or a related field is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve operational goals and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for cleanliness and organization, with the ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and senior management.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software is advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
