Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Service Supervisor to join our team at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

As the Room Service Supervisor, you will play a critical role in delivering outstanding service and operational efficiency. Your duties will encompass:

• Team Leadership and Development: Collaborate with management to recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff. Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and discipline to ensure a productive and engaged team. Serve as a role model and primary point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the setup, execution, and closing of room service operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, including grooming, attire, and cleanliness of staff and storage areas.
• Guest Experience Management: Monitor dining rooms and room service areas to ensure optimal seating availability, service quality, and guest satisfaction. Address guest needs promptly and professionally, anticipating requirements to enhance their stay. Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, including individuals with disabilities.
• Compliance and Safety: Uphold all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols. Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications. Ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information and the protection of company assets.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to elevate service quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and abilities:

• Education: A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a supervisory or operational role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry is essential. At least 1 year of prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, as well as lift, carry, or move objects up to 50 pounds. You must be comfortable navigating narrow spaces, stairs, and service ramps, and performing tasks that demand fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with guests and team members. You should be adept at developing positive working relationships, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Attention to Detail: The ability to read and verify information in various formats, visually inspect tools and equipment, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization is critical.
